The Protective Registration Delegation

The Protective Registration Delegation is a special decision-making body within the Commission on Security and Integrity Protection. The tasks of the Delegation consist of making decisions on qualified assumed identities and to examine matters related to cases of qualified assumed identities. Such identities may be used by policemen and officials employed by the Swedish Security Service and the Swedish Police whose true identities must not be revealed in their line of duty. The identities are formed by fictitious data introduced into the national population register or other state registers or identification documents issued by state authorities.

 

The Delegation consists of a chair, a vice chair and three other members. The chair and vice chair shall be, or have been, permanent judges or have other equivalent legal experience. One of the other members shall be experienced in matters concerning national population registration activities.
